SPM optical incremental encoders - product series for precise manual input or for angle measurement in general

The SPM series of optical incremental encoders are designed for demanding applications that require a long lifetime and a precise operating feel. With a lifetime of over 100 million shaft movements and a robust metal plain bearing, the SPM encoders offer exceptional reliability and accuracy.

Two versions are available for different applications:

• Version with increased torque: This version is specially designed for manual operation and offers a particularly high-quality operating feel thanks to the torque - ideal for precise manual settings
• Version without increased torque: For applications where the encoder is not operated manually, this version is the ideal choice and enables smooth integration into various applications

Options:

• Number of pulses: 100, 256, 360, 400, 500, 512, 1000, 1024 pulses/rev
• Shaft diameter: 6 mm (customised up to 6.35 mm)
• Torque levels: Standard (0.3-1.3 Ncm) or NT version with reduced torque (0.1-0.6 Ncm)
• Protection class: IP55M/IP66S or IP40
• Electrical connection: Contact pins or lockable plug connection
