Miniature encoder for high-precision special applications

The MOT5 series is an extremely compact optical incremental encoder which, with its 5 mm housing and a housing depth of just 7.1 mm, is one of the smallest of its kind. Thanks to the ball bearings, it offers high mechanical stability and enables a maximum speed of up to 6000 rpm. Typical applications include medical robots, medical devices and specialized robots.

With a resolution of up to 100 imp/rev, the MOT5 is suitable for applications that require fine position measurement. The cut-off frequency of 100 kHz ensures reliable signal processing.

The signal is transmitted via a voltage output (NPN). The encoder has two channels (A, B) for recognizing the direction of rotation and an index (Z) for an exact reference per revolution.

Thanks to the axial ribbon cable with FPC connector (150 mm), the MOT5 can be integrated into compact assemblies to save space.
