The teach-in encoder ETA25PM can be parameterized by the customer on site to the desired angular measuring range and direction of rotation

Only one angle encoder variant for different requirements – that is the special strength of the ETA25PM encoder. The angle and direction of rotation can be set exactly to the requirements of the application. And that directly on site. Almost as often as required (10,000 times).

The ETA25PM detects angles of up to 72,000°. Therefore, it can be used as a multiturn as well as a single-turn encoder. It has a lifespan of over 100 million revolutions and can be sealed up to IP66 with a shaft seal. The compact sensor in Ø25 mm housing with Ø6 mm or Ø6.35 mm shaft is, among other things, optimally suited for use in drive units as position feedback. Customer-specific adaptations of the shaft geometry and cable assemblies can be realized on request.

The electrically effective angle of rotation of 10 turns (3600°, CW) is preset at the factory. If you require specific angle measuring ranges for your application (up to 72,000°, CW/CCW), the customer has the option of having the electrically effective angle of rotation and sense of rotation programmed in the factory or making the settings on-site. For the latter, we recommend our "PRO" programming unit. It can be used to make the settings for each and thus any number of ETA25PMs. Of course, one can adjust the encoder to the application by means of an external circuit, which we describe in the programming instructions.
