Electromagnetic Clutch
The SEE
electromagnetic clutch is made up of the inductor core with its
corresponding coil, the rotor with the friction material incorporated (which is
mounted on the shaft with key) and the induced assembly, made up of the induced
disc itself with a spring-membrane and the induced support.
The SEE
electromagnetic clutch is a positive clutch, current driven.
When a DC
voltage is established in the coil, a magnetic field is generated that crosses
the rotor with friction lining and attracts the armature, transmitting the
movement.
When it does
not receive current, the spring-membrane retracts the armature, in this way,
the clutch disengages and stops transmitting the movement.
The SEE
electromagnetic clutch is characterized by having 3 different construction
types:
Construction
1.1.: It is the basic clutch unit, made up of the inducer, the rotor and
the armature, with the riveted spring-membrane to be mounted directly on the
pulley or pinion.
Construction
1.2: It is made up of the inductor, the rotor, the armature with the
riveted spring-membrane and the pulley-holder or pinion bushing.
Construction
1.3: It is made up of the inductor, the rotor, the armature with the
riveted spring-membrane and the aluminum hub to be mounted on another shaft.
